剧情介绍：这部由东木制片的《The Mule》将聚焦一位名叫Leo Sharp的二战老兵，他为墨西哥贩毒集团锡那罗亚运送毒品长达十年之久，2011年在用一辆破卡车运送价值300万美元毒品穿越密歇根州的时候被捕，当时他已经90岁高龄，后来他的律师坚称Sharp是因为老年痴呆而被人利用，最后Sharp只被判入狱三年。 早在2014年，Imperative Entertainment从《纽约时报》买下了一篇讲述Sharp故事的文章，并计划拍成电影，当时一度传出导演敲定为《匪帮传奇》《毒液》的鲁本·弗雷斯彻。 据悉，《The Mule》将由华纳和Imperative Entertainment联合制作。曾与伊斯特伍德合作《老爷车》的尼克·施恩克执笔的第一版剧本，《单身毒妈》和《政局边缘》的编剧Dave Holstein进行了最终改写。
